Welcome

The Staffordshire Knot is a traditional English pub, set in the quintessential village of Sheen in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

It takes the form of a historic coaching inn which research suggests has been operating in this way since the early 1830s. It is the only public house in the village and has played an integral part of community life for many generations.

Over the course of the past two centuries The Staffordshire Knot has served as a central gathering place not only for members of our local community, but also for visitors travelling into the area for pleasure.
It has provided somewhere to enjoy a pint or meal while forging connections with friends and neighbours – playing an essential role in shaping our communal identity and social interactions.

Following a succession of failed planning applications to change the use of the building and operate it as a self-catering holiday let, a window of opportunity has opened up for the community to put together a bid to purchase and retain the property as a public house, preserving it as a hub for our village and surrounding area.

Our goal is to safeguard this building and the vital role that village pub culture has played in our local heritage, creating new opportunities for social interaction and community cohesion while
supporting the local economy and upholding local traditions.
